We flew Cathay Pacific from Changi Airport and arrived at Hong Kong around 12.00pm. After we collected our luggage, we went to the customer service counter at the arrival hall to purchase our Octopus card.
Following the sign board to the airport bus location, we took the City Flyer airport bus no. A21 to the hotel. It cost HK$33 for the trip downtown and we paid using our Octopus card. The name of the next stop is announced in Cantonese and English in the bus so you need not worry about where to get down. The bus also has a led display that shows the names of the hotels for the next stop. The ride to town is very scenic. It took us about 45 minutes to reach our hotel - Metropark Mongkok is at Lai Chi Kok Road and the airport bus stopped directly outside our hotel. That was great! We didn't have to walk at all. Moreover the Prince Edward MRT station is just 1 minute away from the hotel. From the hotel's main entrance, turn right to the Prince Edward MRT or walk straight ahead to Mongkok area.
We had a short walk around the hotel after our quick lunch.
There was nothing much to see so we took the MRT to Mongkok and had our first shopping in HK. We didn't buy anything there as the place was so crowded with people. We walked a little and had our dinner before we proceed to the Avenue of Stars.
From Mongkok, we took the MRT to Tsim Tsa Tsui and follow the direction to the Avenue of Stars. It was a long walk. After we came out from the MRT station we had to walk through a shopping mall to reach the Avenue of Stars.We wanted to catch the Symphony of Lights that is on at 8pm every night. There were a lot of people hanging around there, either taking a stroll or waiting for the Symphony of Light show. The night view was spectacular, alas, I do not have a good camera to capture the sight. Anyway, there were a lot of stalls there that offer to take your picture for a price and the photo is instantly developed. You have to look around and bargain for a good price.
Day 2
The next day we decided to head towards Central to have dim sum breakfast and visit The Peak. We walked around looking for a good dim sum shop.
Finally decided to enter this dim sum shop that was recommended in one of the forums. It was quite crowded. I must say that the dim sum is quite delicious but it is difficult for us to place order as we can't speak Cantonese. The push cart will come and you just point at what you want. That's about all. If you keep opening and closing the lid to check what's inside, the lady will scold. Maybe it's my fault but what do I point at if I don't know what's inside, right?
After breakfast, we follow the signboard to The Peak. It is very easy to travel in Hong Kong as there are clear signboards around and most of the places are accessible by MRT. We joined the queue to buy the tram ticket to The Peak. The counter girl was kind enough to inform us that it is quite foggy at the peak and the view from the lookout may not be clear so we decided not to buy the ticket for the lookout.
While waiting for bro and sis to buy ticket, sis took a picture with Jackie Chan.
Here's the tram coming....it was an experience taking the tram up to the Peak.
The moment we reached The Peak, we started shopping first after seeing all the colourful souvenirs.
Not sure what happened, brother suddenly had a fight with Bruce Lee.
And then sis kicked Bruce Lee when he turned his head to look at me as I walked in with my camera......
Enough of all the fighting, we finally make peace with Bruce Lee and walked out of the building towards the Peak to admire the scenery.
And then we found a place to view the beautiful scenery free from the Peak without having to pay for it. Inside the Galleria! Lucky we didn't buy the lookout ticket.
We proceeded to Disneyland after The Peak. We had to take the MRT to Sunny Bay and change to Disneyland MRT.

More pictures of Disneyland. The park itself is quite small but it takes a long time to finish touring the place because of the long queue everywhere. We had to queue up to take pictures with the cartoon characters and after taking pictures with Mini Mouse, we gave up because we were already very tired.
That was the end of a tiring Day 2.
Day 3
Today we visited Macau. We took the MRT to Shun Tak Ferry Terminal and bought the ticket for the next First Ferry to Macau.
The moment we exit the Macau ferry terminal, there are many shuttle buses outside waiting to ferry customers to the hotels (casinos). We took the shuttle bus to Fisherman Wharf for some sightseeing and lunch.
As you can see, Fisherman Wharf is quite empty.
But then, there is also another side of Fisherman Wharf that is quite scenic.
The Fisherman Wharf is actually within walking distance to the ferry station so we walked back to the ferry station and take the Venetian Shuttle bus to the Venetian Hotel.
The Venetian Hotel in Macau is similar to the one in Las Vegas but smaller.
After we had enough of Venetian, we took the hotel shuttle back to the ferry station. From the ferry station bus stop, we took a bus to Senado Square. In Macau, you can either pay in HK currency or Macau Patacas. Since they accept HK currency, we paid everything including the bus fare in HK dollars.
The last stop for the day is St. Paul's ruins in Senado Square. There are a lot of shops here but we were already quite tired and do not have any mood to shop so we had a quick stop here for some photo taking. We took a bus back to the ferry station (again!) for our ferry back to Hong Kong. The bus stop is outside Sendo Square. If your back is facing Senado Square, just walk towards the right. The bus stop is about 100m away and there are many buses that go to the ferry station. If unsure, just double check the bus number at the bus station. Otherwise, any local there would be able to tell you.
Day 4
We had to take the MRT to airport as the airport bus that stops outside Metropark Mongkok Hotel does not take passengers to the airport. Luckily the Prince Edward MRT is just 1 minute away.
